Association to Professional Bodies
Our staff and students enjoy many subscription benefits accrued from belonging to many professional development associations. One of the associations established by the department is the Kyambogo University Geography Students Association that brings students with a common interest in geography to form a uniformed voice aimed to reduce the degradation of the earth. The student faction, commonly organises field study tours, advocates and campaign in Uganda and large.
The department and members also subscribe to the Geography Society Association of Uganda. Members are also free to join other international professional bodies in Uganda and beyond. This has improved coordination, research and publication between universities, departments and staff members.
